He has over 30 years of experience in orthopedics – specifically, since May 1, 1994. He became a specialist doctor in 1998/1999, and since 2003 he has been a senior consultant in orthopedic-traumatology. His entire medical and surgical activity has taken place at the Bucharest Emergency Clinical Hospital – something he considers a source of professional pride.
In the 31 years since orthopedics became his main focus, alongside his family, he has participated in over 5000 orthopedic surgeries, mostly as the primary operator. For over 30 years, he has been doing paid on-call shifts at the Bucharest Emergency Clinical Hospital, totaling over 1100 shifts – many of them as coordinator or on-call chief. This means he has effectively spent more than three years of his life sleeping at the hospital.
In the last approximately 25 years, he has also contributed to the training of numerous orthopedic doctors – some of whom now practice successfully in the United Kingdom, Germany, or France, while most have become respected professionals in Romania.

• Over 1000 hip replacements, as well as similar procedures on the knee and shoulder. His first participation in a hip arthroplasty was in 1995, at a time when this type of surgery was still new in Romania.
• He has performed over 1000 osteosyntheses of the femur and tibia. In 1998, he participated in the first hip fracture osteosynthesis surgery in Romania using the GAMMA-NAIL implant – a method considered revolutionary at the time and now a standard treatment.
