The Pediatric Orthopedics Department of Centrokinetic has a series of laboratory reports and investigations, necessary for a correct diagnosis, the most important being:

  1. MRI: is a non-invasive, non-radiant investigation method, practically the most complex method of imaging investigation, with its help being able to obtain three-dimensional images from any part of the body. Centrokinetic has a state-of-the-art MRI device, dedicated to musculoskeletal disorders, in the upper and lower limbs. For more information, click here.
  2. Musculoskeletal ultrasound: is a non-invasive, non-irradiating, and painless scanning method, extremely useful in diagnosing many diseases. For more information, see here.
  3. Hip ultrasound in newborns: a non-invasive method of investigation, which can be performed up to the age of 12 weeks to diagnose congenital hip dysplasia, click here
  4. Electromyography (EMG): is a non-invasive procedure that allows the evaluation of peripheral nerves and muscle activity and is useful in establishing the diagnosis of neuromuscular disorders. For more information, click here.
  5. Global postural evaluation: we provide you with a modern and high-performance device necessary to determine the posture of the body and the center of gravity: GPS 400. Next to it, we have the G-Walk device for computerized gait determination. For more information, click here.
  6. Evaluation of neuromotor development in babies: tells us whether or not the little one is "on schedule" if his neuro-motor development is normal. Certain deviations are related to the child's rhythm, but the medical evaluation determines if these are common deviations or irregularities that must be corrected with the help of physiotherapy. For more information, click here.
  7. Musculoskeletal assessment of the baby: because any asymmetry in birth is prolonged in the first months of life, deviations from normal development must be corrected immediately before the baby gets used to it and the asymmetries worsen with age. In the case of a full term baby, our therapists monitor the stages of musculoskeletal development from the first days of life and analyze each segment and joint of the body to determine any posture deficit.
