What is the Desmotec device?

The Centrokinetic clinic is equipped with the Desmotec physiotherapy device, a device designed to assist in the patient's faster and more precise recovery, allowing a series of measurements necessary to quantify the patient's progress during the recovery process.

Training with Desmotec devices is performed using a device that maintains a constant inertia (resistance) throughout the entire movement, both in the actual muscle contraction phase and in the relaxation phase. Thus, the muscles work at maximum strength at any angle, making this type of training much more effective than traditional devices.

The resistance is created by the inertia of a wheel, which is accelerated or decelerated with muscle force, through the user's movement (similar to a yo-yo mechanism), not by an external weight.
