READ MOREPhysical therapy in orthopedic conditions of children
Orthopedic physiotherapy is addressed to the infant from a few days of life until the age of 18 years. Our team of professionals with 7 years of experience in treating and diagnosing the child is at your disposal to go along the road of recovery together.After a musculoskeletal evaluation, we set short, medium and long term goals, then the exercise program.
Recovery of orthopedic diseases concerns deviations of the spine (scoliosis, kyphosis, lordosis), chest deformities, postural and congenital torticollis, plagiocephaly / scaffolds / brachycephaly, deviations of the limbs, especially of the lower limbs (genu varum, genu valgum, genu recurvatum, genu flexum), those of the foot (metatarsus adductus, varus foot, talus valgus, flat and hollow foot, etc.), as well as those of the hips (coxa antetorsa, coxa retrorsa, coxa vara, coxa valga, pelvic deformities, hip dysplasia etc).
In establishing recovery programs, a number of general and local factors are taken into account.
General factors:
- type and specificity of the deficiency: draws the first general milestones of the programs;
- the duration of illness and recovery;
- the patient's age;
- general physical capacity.
- the purpose of recovery;
- the morpho-functional characteristics of the segment concerned.
The results of the recovery programs are periodically tested by evaluation methods specific to the kinetotherapy, the most accessible being the articular and the muscular bilate.
In the Specialized Pediatric Medical Recovery Department we are glad that our team includes Ruxandra Tudosoiu, overspecialized in Schroth therapy for the treatment of scoliosis, with 7 years of experience, involved body and soul in recovering patients, Sorina Micu, physiotherapist passionate about working and interacting with children, overspecialized in Schroth therapy, which aims to prevent or recover from disabilities due to illness or injury, Anne Iordanescu, physiotherapist specializing in child recovery and Ana Coman, with over 3 years of experience in child recovery.
